The Jazzman Band/Orchestra
Vocalist Scott Bollert and keyboardist, John Brocksom in 2010, formed the Jazzman Band/Orchestra. The success of the group was accidental. The two musicians agreed to host and perform as a jazz ensemble at the London Music Club. The show was packed and quickly after calls came in for more performances and corporate events. It was decided to perform as “A Taste of Sinatra” to give the public an idea of style and set list.
In 2016 the band added a horn section and launched a tour of soft seat theaters. The group performed as a four piece (The Jazzman Band) and a seven and eight piece ensemble, (Jazzman Orchestra). From time-to-time special guest female vocalists are showcased to enhance the “A Taste of Sinatra” experience.
Current members of the Jazzman Orchestra include Scott Edwards – saxophone, Ron Walker – trumpet, Jason Jamieson – trombone, Scott Bollert – vocals, John Brocksom – keyboards, Ted Peacock – drums, Rob Weatherstone – bass. The Jazzman Christmas show band features a special guest vocal performance by local chanteuse, Nicole Tan.
